Earlier this spring I got a request from Jaeger-LeCoultre, if I could hold a presentation about the brand history and some of their vintage watches, and how they are connected to their modern watches. The event would take place in Helsinki together with Lindroos (one of Helsinki’s biggest retailers of finer watches & jewellery) and Handelsbanken (one of the larger banks in the Nordic region).
Guess the reason for Jaeger-LeCoultre to ask me is my long and deep interest in their brand.

So, a sunny day earlier this month I flew over to Helsinki, on my wrists I had two of my most beloved vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre watches;
The original E 859 Polaris 67

And the original E 168 Geophysic in rose gold.

Helsinki is a beautiful city, quite similar to Stockholm with its 1800 century architecture located by the sea.
Meting up with the Jaeger-LeCoultre team at Lindroos, I received a very warm and friendly welcome from all.

Inside Londroos store the Jaeger-LeCoultre booth were well equipped for the evening!

The event was held for some of their VIP-customers – Handelsbanken and Lindroos went first (both in Finnish so I didn’t understand a word).

And as a final, it was my turn to speak (in English). I guess some of the audience would been able to follow me in Swedish but didn’t want to risk it.
Always good when you are invited as a guest speaker – no pressure, just fun! And to be asked to present something you are very passionate about, what could be more fun?!
Jaeger-LeCoultre Watches and History

My presentation included some key points from the rich history of Jaeger-LeCoultre and some of their iconic watches.
Like the REVERSO,

The GEOMATIC

The POLARIS

And their connection to today’s watches and collection.

After the presentation all were welcomed to the Lindroos store.
Mr Keisu and his team really showed why Lindroos store is one of the most popular AD’s in Helsinki!

All the attendance had a chance to see and try on the current Jaeger-LeCoultre collection and ask all their questions.

As well as to see some vintage icons…

And Alexandra reconnected with an old love…

Yes, it looks perfect on your wrist!

Thank you very much to Handelsbanken and Lindroos for their warm welcome!
And last but not least, a BIG thank you to Erwin, Frank and Alexandra at Jaeger-LeCoultre for this invitation and opportunity to present your brand history – Thank you for this great honour!
