One of these early divers watches that I love – the Eberhard Scafograf 100, reference 11535.
The very first Scafograf, Scafograf 100, where the 100 refers to the depth rating of 100 meters.
A modest 35 mm in diameter and only 11.5 mm thick including the domed plexi, no turning bezel or screw down crown, this watch do not really look like a divers watch…
One glace at the dial is all it takes to change your mind. Big luminous hands and index against the black dial with gilt text.

Some sources mention 1958 as first year of release, others say 1959. Not sure but we know other early divers without turning bezel came from the same era and that the Scafograf 200 existed in 1959.
My impression is that the Scafograf 100 was released before the 200 and not in the same year, so I would guess the Scafograf were released in 1958.

On the screw down case back Eberhard engrave a seahorse. Another lovely detail shared by many of these early divers!
One could build a collection based only on all the different case back motifs!
