Shot of the day: Omega Seamaster ChronoStop 145.007

I not really a chronograph kind of guy… As you might have catch on to by now, I am more of an alarm guy… But there are some exceptions.

One very cool chronograph IMO is the Omega ChronoStop and preferable the jumbo size – the Seamaster ChronoStop reference 145.007!

During the late 1960’s and into the 1970’s, Omega had a whole series of these kind of Funky 70’s Seamaster chronographs. Another theme I really like.

Find these big and blod chronographs hard to resist, even more so if like here on the original strap including folding buckle, paper and instructions booklet.

Not only cool looking but also a very nice fly back feature:
– first click on the pusher at two: the chronograph starts, i.e. the central seconds hand start counting.
– second click and holding the pusher in: the central seconds hand stops and remain in the stopped position as long as you hold the pusher in.
– release the pusher: the seconds hand fly back to start point at twelve.

Yes, the watch have no running seconds and most suited to time events lasting less than one minute… But it’s a very cool watch!

The 145.007 came in several versions with different bezels. We will look closer on the different versions going forward. Stay tuned!
