Time for another 125 Years Jubilé collection watch, this time the Jaeger-LeCoultre reference 3161 Memovox Parking in stainless steel.
Of the four men’s watches, probably the second most well-known after the Geophysic. Reason for that I suspect is…
Availability!
I have no real number on produced Memovox Parking, but it must be more that the reference 3160 Memovox International. If there had been more of the Memovox International in circulation, I think that one would have been more famous but the number is very limited compared to the Memovox Parking, hence, the Memovox Parking is more well-known.
Of the four watches, I think the Memovox Parking is the less serious one… The alarm disk have a small blue parking “P” and a two hours countdown scale. A fun yet practical feature!
Jaeger-LeCoultre reference 3161 Memovox Parking on the wooden beam:

Please excuse the shadows on the dial from the plexi, smallest scratch makes a big shadow on the dial when the sun is out!

The Parking is a modest watch in size, 35 mm with the manual Calibre K 814 inside, K as in Kif shock protected.
Kif A – shock protecting system back in 1957.

Modest in size, yet with great presence. On the wrist the Memovox Parking is elegant with a splash of blue!

Another marvel from the Jaeger-LeCoultre 125 Years Jubilé collection!
Stay tuned, more wooden beam posts to come!
