I tried one of them on this old flame… The Jaeger-LeCoultre E 875 Memovox Speedbeat. Changed a matching blue racing strap to this grey leather strap with white stitches…
My perception of this watch changed completely! From being a bit in the background whenever I reach for a Memovox… It now feel new and fresh!
The E 875 is the most classic looking Memovox from the 1970’s but still with a bit of rebel inside – the blue alarm disk and the JL-logo at nine o’clock makes it stand out from the crowd!
Yes, a new strap often makes you look at your watch in a different perspective – makes you see new sides which you might not have seen before!
This is why I never understand collectors who only wears their watches on one strap and never change, especially if a brand new watch…
To only wear your watch on the original strap, which not always is that good quality or match of your personality… You may miss out on something great…
