Jaeger-LeCoultre E 877 Memovox Snowdrop – Which one do you prefer?

Posted by

“Winter is coming”…? No, it’s already here! December, soon it will be Christmas and New Year…

Time to bring out something to keep us warm… How about a pair of Snowdrops?

The Jaeger-LeCoultre reference E 877 Memovox Snowdrop is to me, the peak of the Funky 70’s Memovox!

Funky, cool, good size – 43 mm, yes larger than the E 859 Polaris! But due to the case shape, it doesn’t look or feel as big as the more famous divers Memovox.

Proportions and balance of the case is spot on. I also get a feeling that the case is in a higher quality of stainless steel compared to other E 87n but I have no record of that to show, just a feeling…

One thing that is better than on the other E 87n is the crystal – instead of plexi it is hardened mineral glass. Yes, also the E 870 Polaris II have hardened mineral glass, but E 871 – E 876 have plexi.

But as always, it is hard to decide which version is the best of the E 877…

What would be your choice? The silver-white or the silver-blue?

The more clean dial with larger index or the one with the rays and thinner index?
