Only Watch 2019: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel Chestnut Edition

Posted by

After all the big BZZZ in Geneva this weekend at the Only Watch Auction…

Jaeger-LeCoultre entered the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel Chestnut Edition for this charity auction.

The base is the white gold Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel which is a limited edition of 100 pieces.

Now there is a version even more rare, a piece unique – Enamel Chestnut Edition.

The 39 mm in diameter white gold case in combination with the chestnut coloured Guilloché enamel dial made at the Métiers Rares Atelier is very striking!

And talking about striking, this beauty when under the hammer for CHF 60000.

Congratulation to Jager-LeCoultre and Only Watch!

Back in 1968 there was also a big BZZZZ…

But back then it was about the Memovox and not a perpetual calendar…

Some of the Memovox inside this booklet are not piece unique, but very rare!

No, I am not talking about the E 859 Polaris, I am referring to the T.W.O watches in gold – the E 855 with short ebony index in 18 carat gold and the E 11005 in 18 carat gold! Both very rare, even more rare than the Polaris…

One interesting detail of information is the last line in the description of the E 855 in 18 carat gold: “Other models in 14 carat gold with steel back”.

Now, a few of those I have seen through the years, but I didn’t know they were 14 carat gold.

Stay tuned as we will look at more rare watches…
